Campaign Mode Game
Competition Theme
A campaign mode game is a structured, story-driven gaming experience that takes players through a series of interconnected levels or missions. The game should have a clear narrative arc, with a beginning, middle, and end, and should provide a sense of progression and accomplishment as players advance through the story.

Student-Centered Competition
To ensure a level playing field and maintain the integrity of the competition, all entries must be the original work of the student participants. Participants are encouraged to seek guidance from mentors, teachers, or experienced developers, but the final product should reflect the students' own creativity, problem-solving skills, and coding proficiency.
Judging Criteria
The judging criteria for the Roblox Game Development Competition will assess the participating students based on the following aspects:
Technical Skill & Coding (25%)
Evaluating the student's understanding and proficiency in game development through coding, including the ability to connect game mechanics with coding, implement creative scripts, and demonstrate a solid grasp of the engineering aspects of game development.
Storyline (15%)
An engaging game storyline with compelling twists and turns is essential. A well-crafted narrative should captivate players, creating a magnetic pull that keeps them coming back over time. This includes not just the main plot, but also subplots, character development, and immersive world-building that together form a cohesive and intriguing experience. The storyline should evolve in a way that continuously surprises and delights players, ensuring sustained engagement and long-term interest in the game.
Design (20%)
Evaluation of the game's visual appeal through factors such as an attractive lighting system, immersive atmosphere, well-chosen sound effects, and background music that enhance the overall player experience.
Game Design Document (GDD) (25%)
creativity and mastery of GDD . following actual theories of GDD or backing up GDD by following up famous game’s GDD method . providing a great touch with clear vision with the template provided
Presentation (15%)
Assessing the student's presentation skills, including their capability to clearly communicate the game's objectives, theme, provide a walkthrough, and effectively demonstrate the gameplay mechanics to the judges.
Frequently asked questions
My child has neither learned coding nor Roblox Game Development before, can my child join the competition?
The competition requires Roblox Game Development background. Your child should be familiar with Lua language. If your child has not learned Roblox Game Development before, we offer a Roblox Game Development Bootcamp (click here for more detail)
What's required of the game?
Your game must be a Campaign mode game built by you and from scratch (not from a template). The game must be built for this competition. Any game that was built before the competition will be disqualified.
What's required of the Presentation video?
A walkthrough your game and highlight unique features
